Come and join me for coffee at my favourite coffee spot before we hit the highways, biways and trails to enjoy a day of Geocaching.

Time: 10:00am - 10:30am
Location: Starbucks, Corner of Ellice and Milt Stegall Dr

This is the second of 3 Morning Coffee Micro Events. We skipped a week due to the August long weekend. People should already be out Geocaching themselves without an event to help them.

Did you notice that the coordinates drop you in the middle of the parking lot, instead of the Starbucks Patio?

Another tailgate coffee party! This is to celebrate International Geocaching Day, so it's only right that there's an event on this date! The Starbucks is nearby and both a McDonalds and Tim Hortons are each a short drive away.

Cycle The Sage by thewark

Hey GeoCachers! Lets go for a bike ride.

Sage Creek has been building more multi use trails as it's been developed, so lets go for a bike ride and make use of them. At the posted coordinates are plenty of parking, and from there we'll go for a nice ride through Sage Creek.

Let's meet up at 6:30 pm and go for about 30-60 minutes ending no later than 7:30 pm

GC5AXBG - Hakliva

This event is being held to help people achieve the seven souvenirs of August.

While I was looking for ways to attend an event to achieve the sixth and ultimately the seventh souvenir, I noticed that there was no way that I would be able to attend an event... So I worked up the courage to submit my own. I realized that if I were to chose a location in or near a dog park, then geo-dogs could benefit from a little off- leash socialization as well!

GC5AT0N - doingitoldschool

A chance to get together, enjoy some coffee (or what have you) and talk about our common hobby.

Since I can't make it to the earlier event this month, I thought I'd hold one of my own.

Need a tip on a local cache? Got a caching story to tell? Just want to hear more about our enjoyable pastime? Come on out.

I might even have a door prize (not a real door).

We'll get together at 10 am, and stay for an hour, just in case some sleepy heads are late. This should give us time to hit a cache or two before lunch!

GC5AR02 - kola cachers, two gemseekers, t+a=eta

Event time: 7-9 pm
Event place: Home of the Kola Cachers.

This event is being held as a last chance for everyone to get the event souvenir for August. This will be a casual time where coffee and dessert are provided. The event will be on our yard and if the weather isn't great it will be indoors. This is a great chance to come and get all the caches in the area.

Come out and celebrate the End of my Daily Streak.
Just like KeeGee before me, it's time to end this, the daily streak.

September 7, 2014
7:00pm - 9:00pm
Garbonzo's Restraunt
1792 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg

This will be day 1,134. I needed to pick a date to end the streak and decided that being exactly 100 days off KeeGee's streak of 1,234 would be just right. Plus there were already a lot of events in August.
So I hope you can come out and have dinner (half price pizza on Sundays) or a drink.

What can be greater than meeting up with another cacher? Meeting up with a lot of other cachers, swapping stories, getting hints on caches you cannot find and enjoying food all at the same time.

And of course giving trycacheus a bad time about his caches.

What happens at a geocaching event? You will meet others who share your love, hobby, addiction. You can share your most difficult, most fun or .....

It's time to take this show on the road!

Based on the popular television series of the 1990s, this event will make us all into daring detectives, stealthy sleuths and ingenious impresarios! Over the last couple of years, this event has been quite popular in the Winnipeg area. It's time to bring this to the WestMan region of the province.

Manitoba has a wealth of Mystery (or Unknown) geocaches.

Start: 2:30 pm
End: 3:30 pm

GC5P8EH - Derivative

Spring and the melting snow reveal the need for a bit of cleaning in the parks and other green spaces around us. As geocachers, we enjoy these public spaces and we take some responsibility for their maintenance. "Cache in trash out" means leaving an area better than we found it. Earn a new souvenir when you join us at the Sportsplex for a group clean-up. Sign the event log and then grab a garbage bag and go to work filling it.

Ending the Manitoba streak.

Well, sort of. As J & R will be moving out of the Winnipeg area (where they may continue their current streak), there needs to be a proper hand over of the Manitoba Marathon Geocaching Streak Ball and Chain. The date that we will be moving is still up in the air, but as this date gets closer, things will get busier. For this reason, the passing of the torch will occur on this date. The next lucky holder of this infamous active streak (and pressure to maintain) falls to Rurbonas.

Johnny Cache is the infamous and legendary outlaw beaver from Dauphin. He is wanted by the local sheriff for stealing treasures from geocaches all over the valley. Rumour has it that Johnny has fled to his secret hideout inside the haunted woods along the shadow of the Northern Escarpment. We need brave geocachers to join a posse that is heading up there to seek out Johnny Cache and bring him to justice.

The haunted woods are located on the scenic grounds of the Dauphin Bible Camp.
