Can I assume we don't need to reserve our own camp site since the MBGA has a group use area? Same as Birds Hill, we just pay the MBGA? We just need to be sure to have a provincial Park pass (not a camping pass)?

Did I see a thread somewhere about discounts on early booking for camping?

Hello everyone!

The MBGA Board had a meeting this evening to rough out some of the items for this year's GeoVenture: Summer Camp. We have decided to go with a back to basics approach this year, due to the change in venue and the lack of full services, compared to previous years at Birds Hill Park. Camp Morton is a beautiful and scenic location right on the shore of Lake Winnipeg with many historic buildings around the park. We believe Geocachers will fall in love with the scenery.

We will be publishing listings on geocaching.com shortly, but here is the current schedule, subject to changes.

Friday, August 19
Bonfire Event 7-11pm (Group Use area C)

Saturday, August 20
Breakfast Event in Gimli (Time and location TBA)
GeoVenture Challenge 1-5pm
Weenie roast and games 5pm-11pm (We'll be roasting hot dogs over the campfire. Cost still TBD. Attendees are asked to bring snacks, chips, cookies, drinks etc to share.)

Sunday, August 21
CITO event 10-11am

Questions and discussion can be found here.

Early Bird camping passes are still available! Click here!

Are we allowed to park by our tents or is there a designated parking lot?

The TARDIS is going to be the place to camp. Time to find the Bad Wolf! Is the cost for camping extra if the TARDIS is a Tent trailer?

MHz, we can park by our spots.

For check in time, I'm currently planning to be there for around noon. I believe we have it until noon on Sunday.

For the Doctor, a tent trailer is no extra charge.

For oakbank24, 3pm works fine.
